Authors will discuss the Roads to Removal report, and regional CO2 removal opportunities. Events will be periodically added to this page as they are planned. Upcoming Event: Indianapolis, Indiana

Indiana University Indianapolis | October 28-29

Hosted by Indiana University (IU) Indianapolis, this symposium will help identify how carbon dioxide removal (CDR) opportunities and technologies might be effectively utilized in the state of Indiana. This free, two-day symposium is open to the public and sponsored by the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at IU Indianapolis. Special attention will be given to how carbon dioxide removal might directly benefit local farmers, enhance soil health, improve crop yields, and integrate seamlessly with existing farming practices and economic development goals in the region. R2R Indiana is an in-person only symposium. Recordings of all speakers and panels will be available after the event for anyone who cannot attend.

Upcoming Event: Laramie, Wyoming

University of Wyoming | November 14-15

Sponsored by the Ruckelshaus Institute and the University of Wyoming School of Energy Resources and held at the University of Wyoming Conference Center, Roads to Removal Wyoming focuses on identifying how carbon dioxide removal (CDR) technologies and solutions can be applied in state, with specific discussions on the costs, impacts, community and workforce opportunities.

This free, two-day symposium is open to the general public and is ideal for community and industry leaders, ranchers, government and tribal stakeholders.

It will highlight the benefits and implications of CDR for Wyoming ranchers, the impact on soil and rangeland health, CO2 transportation and storage, regional policy, pricing, and overall economic development.

Roads to Removal (R2R) authors joined the 10th annual Clean Tech Summit at the Friday Conference Center in Chapel Hill to discuss the global energy transition and opportunities for regional engagement. 
 
R2R lead author Jennifer Pett-Ridge provided a keynote address and report authors Drew Wong, Allegra Mayer, Kim Mayfield, Joe Sagues and Thomas Harris addressed specific opportunities for North Carolina and the greater Southeast region in a wide-ranging panel discussion.
